The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is holding outreach events in each New England state to inform agency partners, the general public, applicants, and consultants about the New England District’s planned implementation of the Nationwide Permits (NWPs), application procedures, and the transition from the currently used, state-specific Regional General Permits. The Northeast Ocean Data Portal tracks and posts public notices associated with relevant USACE permit applications on the USACE Agency Actions page.
These outreach events will cover the following topics: overview of the 2026 NWPs, timeline of issuance and implementation, Regional General Permits (RGPs) still available for use, existing RGP verifications, NWP general conditions, NWP regional conditions, Clean Water Act Section 401 Water Quality Certification, and Coastal Zone Management Act consistency determination.
These events will be held in-person with a virtual attendance option The USACE team will remain at each venue after the scheduled event for individual questions.

- Massachusetts: February 12, 2026, 9:30am-12pm
- Maine: February 13, 2026, 10am-1pm
