Join us Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. for a special tour of roughly 3,000 interactive maps depicting fish, birds and marine mammals on the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Ocean Data Portals. Building upon data released in 2016, the Portal teams and Marine-life Data and Analysis Team (MDAT) recently published a collection of updated maps that reflect recent observations and present additional individual species and marine life groups.

This free and public session will include presentations on how the data was aggregated and demonstrations on how to find and use the maps on the Portals. The session will conclude with a Q&A with the presenters:

  • Jesse Cleary and Corrie Curtice, MDAT/Duke University Marine Geospatial Ecology Lab
  • Emily Shumchenia, Northeast Ocean Data Portal/MDAT
  • Karl Vilacoba, Mid-Atlantic Ocean Data Portal/Monmouth University Urban Coast Institute

Participants can attend the webinar at https://monmouth.adobeconnect.com/mdat2/.
