The Northeast Regional Planning Body (RPB), Northeast Regional Ocean Council (NROC), and Northeast Ocean Data Working Group announce the release of the redesigned Northeast Ocean Data Portal website.
The Portal’s user interface, visual identity, and navigational structure have been redesigned to enhance the site’s user-friendliness and performance. The redesign allows for better integration with key ocean planning themes, enables us to better highlight use cases and important data considerations, and performs better on different devices. The web address (www.NortheastOceanData.org), data, tools, and major functionalities remain the same.
In addition to the new “look and feel” of the site, among the changes that will be most noticeable to Portal users are the following:
- The home page provides direct access to Case Studies.
- The revised navigational structure provides faster access to maps, data, and tools.
- Each of the ten data themes is now represented throughout the site by an icon and a color.
- The Share feature on Theme Maps (accessed by clicking the Share button in the upper right corner) has been improved.
