About this Map
There has been increased interest in using the ocean for energy generation and distribution. This map shows wind and tidal energy potential from select sources, energy planning and project areas, and energy-related infrastructure.

We are working with government agencies, universities, and the industry to update this information and to identify additional data needs. New wind and tidal energy potential sources will be posted in the next couple months.  Planning and project areas will be regularly updated and energy-related infrastructure will be reviewed for new information, if appropriate.
